Parish Services

The Parish Council receives a Parish Precept which is a small amount of money per head for everyone living in the Parish. This money is collected by the Borough Council at the same time as the rates. From this money the Parish Council pay for street lighting, parish improvement eg litter bins, upkeep of the closed portion of the churchyard and the community gardens and entrance tubs to the village. We can also spend a small amount of money supporting parish events. The parish clerk is also paid monthly for managing the work of the parish (telephoning, organising, writing letters, minutes etc).
